Reine “Walking on Water”
April 2009
(chorus)
We’re walking on water, our
hand in his hand. By faith he sustains us, in
his power we stand. No wild slap of waves nor the
waters we tread Can sink or confound us if by
him we’re led.
(verse)
When Peter stepped out on the
dark stormy waves His eyes fixed on Jesus, he
walked by his faith But when his eyes wavered,
his heart filled with doubt And he sank with a cry ‘til
the Lord pulled him out
Like Peter we look at our
troubles, not Jesus We have to remember our
loving God sees us
He calls us to walk by faith
in our King So when we’re in difficult times,
we should sing
(chorus)
We’re walking on water, our
hand in his hand. By faith he sustains us, in
his power we stand. No wild slap of waves nor the
waters we tread Can sink or confound us if by
him we’re led.
(verse)
Don’t let others’ unbelief
hinder your steps Nor let your own sin drag you
down to the depths Reach out to your brothers
and sisters in light And sing as you firmly walk
forward toward Christ (chorus)
We’re walking on water, our
hand in his hand. By faith he sustains us, in
his power we stand. No wild slap of waves nor the
waters we tread Can sink or confound us if by
him we’re led. |
